For parents who need to establish a formal child support order and have no open divorce or custody case. Maryland uses mandatory Child Support Guidelines based on both parents’ combined gross monthly income, the number of children, childcare costs, and health insurance contributions. We calculate the correct guideline amount, prepare the required worksheets, and draft all petition documents. Note: Maryland’s October 2025 law changes now allow adjustments for children in each parent’s home from other relationships. Includes a 30-minute phone consultation with a Family First Legal attorney.
